Youth Orchestra Auditions
Now scheduling auditions for the 2025-2026 season
When: Friday September 5 and Saturday September 6, 2025
Where: Wenatchee Valley College Music and Arts Building - room 1569.
What: Each instrument has their own audition music for each orchestra. Please see the list below.
How to Sign-up: Complete the 25-26 registration form and then Michelle will reach out to you to coordinate audition times.

Wenatchee Valley Debut Orchestra
Your audition will be around 5 minutes and will include each of the following:
D Major scale - one octave
Solo piece or orchestra song of your choice
Short sight reading excerpt will be provided
Junior Orchestra and Youth Orchestra
Your audition will be around 10 minutes and will include each of the following:
One major or minor scale of your choice in as many octaves as you are able to perform.
Prepare an excerpt of your choice up to two minutes. Make sure to choose an excerpt that will demonstrate your most advanced abilities.
Prepare the provided excerpt for your instrument (see below). Pay special attention to tempo and articulation markings.
Sight reading may be provided at your audition.
Wenatchee Valley Youth Wind Ensemble
Your audition will be around 10 minutes and will include each of the following:
One major or minor scale of your choice in as many octaves as you are able to perform.
Prepare an excerpt of your choice up to two minutes. Make sure to choose an excerpt that will demonstrate your most advanced abilities.
Prepare the provided excerpt for your instrument (see below). Pay special attention to tempo and articulation markings.
Sight reading may be provided at your audition.
